I didn’t think that the side of the road was the best place to practice this technique.
In all my miles of motorcycling, I’ve never needed to fix a flat on a trip. Since my rear tire was almost shot anyway, I decided to try out my plug kit in the comfort of my own garage. It’s a really slick process and only took about 5 minutes. I did this about a week ago and have only leaked about 10 psi since. Success!
My trip preparation has reached a feverish pitch as I try to complete all that needs to be done before I hit the road. I’m still hoping to head out on D-Day, June 6th, but my list is still aways from completion.
If nothing else, mercilessly pounding a nail into a tire relieved a little stress. 🙂
