Winslow, place 85 of 92, is up! I expected to find a corner and not much else. Instead I was overwhelmed with history, culture, hospitality, generosity and strange tacos. In Winslow, I was reminded why I do what I do. I connected with this place like few others.
Cedar City, home of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, is the next place on our list. This city becomes the stage on which a multitude of memories are made. The only question is this: Can we get Annie into the theatre?
Three of my favorite things!….or at least two. In this expansive post, we have a wide range of experiences: Chance meetings, spontaneous adventures, beautiful National Parks, free beans, French invasions and the lights of Las Vegas. I also finally ask Annie the question that she has definitely not been waiting for.
A new state, a new state to love! Utah and its five National Parks are up! This post details our first few days in the state which included Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef National Parks. I make a new friend, ride on a rim, almost die for a phone and meet some goblins.
We conclude our wonderful visit to Colorado, letting the fragrant wildflowers bring us to many halts. We meet a motorcycling legend, sample some fine roadkill and ride the Million Dollar Highway…for free! We continue in our quest to capture the perfect picture to define “Colorado,” finding a number of possibilities.
We continue contemplating the contours of the squarest state in the union: Colorado. We experience a myriad of incredible roads, views and make plenty of new friends. Grand Lake, song place 82 of 92, is up!
We kick off our time in Colorado with some special family time. This post will step away from our quest momentarily and provide a brief summary of our time together. There’s still a little drama though, as Mom nearly burns off my hand and we visit the place that is unequivocally the best thing on planet Earth.
